Last night, 17Nov09, JL earned his first ‘income’. It was not from PaPa or Mummy but from a company.
Few months back, Mummy got a call from a research company who wanted to get permission to make a survey by interviewing JL regarding ASTRO show. Mummy agreed and then a few weeks back, Mummy got a call to fix the date and time. They were accommodating to anytime we wanted. So last night, a lady dropped by our apartment with her son to ask JL a few questions. JL was shy initially when the first question was how to spell his name. Then slowly he was getting more comfortable and began to answer all the questions with Mummy’s guidance.
AL was busy trying to play with the lady’s boy who was too shy to move. She kept bringing different toys to the boy who was same age with her KorKor but still the boy refused to play with her.
It was a fast session because JL was cooperating well with no fuss. It started about 8.15pm and ended even before 9.00pm.
At the end, JL was paid RM 20 which he was happy. Even though it was a small amount but then it was easy money earned at our home.
Mummy asked him what he wanted to do with the money. He thought and decided to ask Mummy to keep in the bank. Mummy asked him whether he wanted to use 50% to get something and Mummy would bank in another 50%. So, JL still had not decided yet…Still thinking….

In future, maybe there would be more surveys like this for JL, not so much on the money but more to build JL’s confident and let JL overcome from his shyness in front of the non-family members.
Mummy also needed to think how to also increase our family income because Mummy’s blog ranking and traffic were not very good. Mummy would need to be more hardworking to find time to update the blog often, improve Mummy’s boring writing skill and maybe get help from free web directory to increase the traffic flow.
