Jeriel’s 2nd Birthday (Part 1)

Jeriel celebrated his 2nd birthday on Sunday , 19 March 2006. Jeriel cut cake 3 times.

1st Cake
We bought a small cake (less than ½ kg) and packed simple 10 party bags. On Sunday morning, we brought the cake, party bags and party hat to the church nursery. So Jeriel had his mini party with about 6 kids because it was 8am morning service and usually not many kids compared to the 10:30am or 5pm service. His teachers helped us to take a few photos. Jeriel favorite teacher Julie (who has been taking care of him since he was less than 1 year old in the church) gave him a present.

2nd Cake
We ordered a Black Forest Cake and paid extra for a Chicken Little picture in the middle. He wanted Chicken Little, Pooh and Bob the Builder but we decided on one cartoon character will do. On Sunday night, we had a simple dinner in New Paris, SS2 with both families (14 adults). My parents got a special candle which will looks like mini firework once lighted up and the song Happy Birthday tune will go on for a few hours. After dinner, my parents, Othniel’s mum, my sisters & their boyfriends dropped by our apartment to see Jeriel open his presents.

Jeriel received gifts :
· A mini bag pack (High Sierra) from his MahMah (Othniel’s mother)
· A full set of Ladybird Peter & Jane series (1a to 12c) plus angpau from KongKong and Poh Poh (Chanel’s parents)
· A kid Drumset from 2 E (Chanel’s sister) and Uncle Raymond
· A Manchester United t-shirt and pants from 3 E (Chanel’s sister) and Uncle Lucas
· A wooden blocks from Ah Sok (Othniel’s brother) and Aunty Kwai Hoo
· A nice t-shirt from Chanel’s friend
· A drawing board with stand plus angpau from Chanel’s friend
· A board book from Nanny
· Another gift (mystery) from Ah Pak (Othniel’s brother) and Pak Leong
· Etc….

3rd Cake
Today 21 March 2006, Jeriel will cut another cake in Nanny’s house…will update later ....... in Part 2 together with the photos…..
