Must be wondering did I come back empty handed?
Those who knows what is CorningWare, VisionWare, Correlle and Pyrex, these are the cheap things to get and worth it. My parents had 1 set of CorningWare since they got married until now..imagine 30years already. My parents presented me with 1 whole set of CorningWare (5 different sizes) from Langkawi as my wedding gift. I treasured it a lot and used it a lot too.
Imagine, cooking magi mee, soup, pasta gravy or even steaming, then just carry the CorningWare from Stove to the table without changing from pots to bowl/plate. Lazy person like me, yes, no need to wash extra utensils. Then I can keep unfinished food like curry etc into the fridge via CorningWare, then heat up directly on the stove the next day. Besides that, CorningWare can be used in the microwave too. Sorry yah, only about CorningWare because I don't have VisionWare and Correlle. Pyrex can be used in the fridge, microwave and steamer but not on the stove directly unlike CorningWare which can be used in the fridge, microwave, steamer and on stove directly.
Hmm..my shopping list was:
•Pyrex with plastic cover
o Othniel (from his last trip) got us a set of rectangular Pyrex (3 different sizes) with Plastic Cover (microwaveable) for about RM30plus. Very good and useful.
•Cadbury Old Jamaica Chocolate (must be RM7 and below)
o This is our all time favorite chocolate- dark chocolate with Rum & Raisins..yum yum..
o Othniel used to get it from Labuan(for work not holiday) for RM7 per bar
•Bailey Liquor
However, I didn't get all. Why?
•Pyrex with plastic cover
o Discontinued unless I want to but the one with glass cover but far more expensive.
•Cadbury Old Jamaica Chocolate
o All more than RM7, so didn't buy
But I ended up buying ,
•2 Level Steamer Pot (28cm) Stainless Steel with glass cover
o We were looking for big and deep steamer because we used Steamer a lot. We were using an old frying pan with a steamer stack on top of it. The frying pan was already rusty and the steamer stack was not deep enough.
oIt was less than RM60 after discount, which was quite reasonable. I could not afford Zebra Stainless Steel brand.
•4 Tier Tiffin Carrier (Zebra Stainless Steel)
o Cost almost RM70 after discount and just bought it because may need it in future.
•Wooden Cooking Wok Spatula
oJeriel's nanny was looking for a big one and I happened to saw it, just decided to get for her as a gift.
•Bailey Liquor
o All the shop was selling for RM42 but found a shop which was selling for RM40.
