Lucas & Cheryl’s Wedding (Part 2 Holy Matrimony)

Sam Yee Cheong and Sam Yee are on honeymoon in HongKong and Senzhen now. The photos would only be available next month (which is next week). So Mummy ‘kidnapped’ some photos from Aunty Ita’s blog.

On Saturday 265 Aug 2007, we purposely woke Jeriel up early and took him out for a while. Why? So that he would take his nap early and then he would be in good mood during the Holy Matrimony this evening.

However, Jeriel was too alert that he refused to take his early nap. We managed to get him to take his nap at about 2pm. Then, Mummy ex-colleague arrived at about 2.30pm to make-up for Mummy. Mummy didn’t know how to make-up hi hi…Being not an expert, it took her quite long to make-up for Mummy but the make-up was good for a non-professional. Price was also reasonable. This was the 3rd time Mummy got someone to make-up for Mummy – 1st when Mummy was the bridesmaid for Aunty Ita and 2nd was during Mummy’s wedding. Since this was Sam Yee’s wedding and Mummy would have to go up the stage for toasting, so better look good. PaPa woke Jeriel up at about 3.30pm and got him ready with his tuxedo.

By the time Mummy and PaPa got ready, it was already almost 4.30pm. Aiyoyo…the Holy Matrimony was supposed to start at 5pm. KongKong was following our car. Good thing the wedding was nearby in Sime Darby Convention Centre next to Stadium Juara (on the way to KLGCC). While on the way there, Uncle Lucas (not yet Sam Yee Cheong) called said that KongKong supposed to wear the veil to Sam Yee. PaPa drove so fast that we managed to arrive 5 minutes before 5pm.

We ran up to the changing room. The Holy Matrimony ceremony was delayed to 5.30pm..Fuih…Mummy met Chris the make-up person for Sam Yee. Chris did for Mummy make-up also during Mummy’s wedding. Mummy liked her but then wanted Chris to concentrate on Sam Yee. Chris knew Mummy was not satisfied with Mummy’s hair so she asked me to sit down. She redid Mummy’s hair in less that 20 minutes and Mummy was happy.

Sam Yee went up to the X-Trail together with 2 bridesmaid (Yi Yee was one of the bridesmaid) and KongKong plus Jeriel boy. The X-trail drove the whole group up to the main lobby entrance where the Holy Matrimony would be held. Mummy rushed to the main entrance with the ring bearer pillow to wait for them. The weather was cool and with some slight drizzle.

Jeriel would be the first to walk down the aisle. The aisle was in L-shape. So before that everyone already kept reminding Jeriel to walk slowly. He did well during the rehearsal on Thursday night and he practiced a few times in the apartment with Uncle Lucas. After releasing Jeriel with the ring bearer pillow, Mummy ran to the corner where Jeriel need to turn since it was an L-shape aisle. Jeriel was walking very very slooooowly. Uncle Lucas was signaling Mummy to ask Jeriel to walk faster. Mummy could see that Jeriel was feeling tension. Mummy went and whispered to Jeriel that he was doing great and Uncle Lucas wanted Jeriel to walk a bit faster. To my surprise, Jeriel took the instruction well and started to walk a bit faster. He did not run. When Jeriel arrive the corner to turn, he got excited to see Uncle Lucas. When he arrive Uncle Lucas, it was a sigh of relief than Jeriel hugged Uncle Lucas’s leg (Jeriel adores Uncle Lucas all lot). Everybody was happy and impressed to see a 3 year old boy walking down the aisle and taking instructions well. After Jeriel, followed by the Flower Girl who was about 5+ years old but she was cute and petite, then Yi Yee, Bridesmaid 2 and last but not least, KongKong and Sam Yee.

Jeriel’s job had completed once the bestman took the ring bearer pillow from him. Then he was running around with other boys…

Now officially Uncle Lucas is Jeriel’s Sam Yee Cheong….
