Today is PaPa’s first day as ‘freelancer’ (because I myself don’t know exactly what to call his occupation for time being).
Last Friday 10 Aug 2007 was his last day in his previous company after more than 5 years working in that company. He started to do his practical trainee in that company early 2002 which later took him in as a permanent staff.
PaPa started as Sales Engineer (Mechanical) then later moved to be Service Engineer (Mechanical). He also conducted training and also sometimes supported server/notebook problems in the company. After 5 years, he decided to resign to work on his own and also to study. Mummy as a wife gave him full support to try out because we will never know if he doesn’t try out now while he is still young.
Money may be an issue, but thank goodness, we just settled our two cars loans this year. So, our plan to buy a sedan family car got to postpone.

oh, I didn't knw it happens so fast. All the best to Othniel and I'm sure he can succeed in whatever he does. Most importantly, he has got support from the family!

Lots of people with IT backgrounds freelance and do really well esp when they provide good service and follow-up. Some even end up having to hire some support!
