Miri – 22-25 Sept 2007 (Part 2)

Follow-up from Miri – 22-25 Sept 2007 (Part 1).
Please note that the fruit is actually called 'Tarap' no 'Talam' in the previous Part 1.

23 Sept 2007
That day, Sam Yee Cheong drove us to his parents’ house for their tea ceremony session (only relatives because Sam Yee Cheong’s parents already drank tea during tea ceremony in Klang Valley in August). We had lunch there and spent time with Sam Yee Cheong’s relatives.

Sam Yee Cheong’s mother took time to cook porridge for Jeriel knowing Jeriel just recovered from Chicken Pox. PaPa and Mummy initially didn’t want to attend the wedding dinner just in case they mind if Jeriel just recovering from Chicken Pox. However, they were so nice to say they didn’t mind at all. Jeriel was quite sad when we said that we might cancel our trip because Jeriel was looking forward for the trip especially the airplane.

After that we went back to hotel to have a rest. Then Sam Yee Cheong brought us to try Miri Rojak, Miri ABC and Miri Cendol. Miri Rojak was a bit sour like sour plum. As for the ABC and Cendol, it was a bit different style. Our first place was the beach. Jeriel had fun building and destroying sand castles.

PohPoh asked PaPa to try volcano experiment but it was not 100% successful because PohPoh didn’t bring enough baking soda.

It was Jeriel first time walking on the beach water. He did enjoy himself a lot and he was totally wet….

That night, Sam Yee Cheong’s parents (including Sam Yee Cheong’s elder brother, sis-in-law and nephew) had dinner with us in the Imperial Hotel. Sam Yee Cheong brought us around Miri City to see the view at night.

I like those sand castles. When can I build those with my kids? Build and destroy is fun for kids. Miri sounds like a good destination for a holiday. I'll keep in mind MIRI.
