JL is sick

On Tuesday 13 Nov 2007 morning, JL had a minor fever and after medication, his fever dropped to normal. He was looking for forward for that day because his kindy was having a trip. When we said he could not go, he was extremely so sad and with some tears in his eyes. Since his fever dropped quite fast, we said we need to go to the kindy and ask his teacher. JL jumped out of the bed immediately and got ready. His teacher was kind enough to take care of him and even sms Mummy at noon that JL had no fever. For that whole day, he didn’t have fever until Wednesday 14 Nov 2007 morning.

JL fever came yesterday for whole day but below 38 C. Last night PaPa and Mummy decided to bring JL to see our family doctor. While on the way to the clinic, JL vomited due to phlegm congestion. He was upset saying

“Mummy I didn’t know I am going to vomit. If I know, I will tell PaPa to stop car and I vomit outside”
We had to ensure him it was all right. JL refused to wear his t-shirt and we didn’t bring any spare. So he ended up wrapping himself with a big blanket which was placed in PaPa’s car (for JL when he sleeps in the car). Everyone was staring at JL in the clinic seeing him wrapping blanket. JL was still chatty despite him having fever and sick.

The last time we went to see doctor, JL was having normal flu so no antibiotic was required. This time, JL’s throat was quite red. This time JL had to take 4 medications including 1 antibiotic. We had 3 medications at home so doctor gave us the antibiotic which was a good one.

Then last night PaPa got a bad flu and Mummy was just recovering had to take PaPa’s shift at about 3am, checking JL’s temperature and sponging JL. JL’s fever refuse to come down and when it came down it would be a short while. His temperature hit 39 C. We put ice pack on JL’s head throughout the night.

Today morning, Mummy is feeling sick due to insufficient sleep. So, Mummy is zombie in office. JL wanted to follow in the car when KongKong sent Mummy to work. Then, JL said he wanted to go kindy because his teacher got surprise for him today. Mummy told him to rest well today and tomorrow he would be able to go kindy to attend a party and also his teacher would pass him his surprise tomorrow. Mummy told him to make sure he had enough rest today…..

Later today, PaPa would need to get something for JL to bring to kindy for the party tomorrow.

Over the lunch, KongKong and PohPoh sms Mummy to inform Mummy that JL did not have any high fever already. Most probably the antibiotic had taken effect. Hope JL’s temperature will be normal tonight because temperature usually tends to increase during night time.
