Last night (31 Mar 2008), we were in Emergency Department. Why?
PohPoh was mopping floor evening about 5pm and everyone warned JL not to run. JL was trying to play with KongKong and guess what? Slipped and fell backward. After the fall he was ok and at 6pm, he finished up his dinner like usual.
However, after dinner, KongKong noticed that JL looked sleepy and dizzy. KongKong hugged and JL vomited all his food on KongKong. Mummy was on the way home and within 1 hour, JL vomited 4 times. By the time Mummy met JL in the car with KongKong to go and see Dr, JL was in the dazed. JL was not the usual JL. Then on the way to clinic, JL vomited in the plastic bag. All the vomit was purely water and mucus because he had thrown out all his food.
At the clinic, while waiting for Dr, JL vomited 2 times in the toilet (he would tell KongKong and KongKong would bring him to toilet). PaPa was supposed to have 2 classes that night, decided to miss the 2nd class and rush to see JL in the clinic. KongKong went back to rest. While in the Dr’s room, JL vomited again in the Dr’s sink. Dr got shocked to see JL looking pale and wrapped in the blanket because he was feeling cold. Dr decided that it was wise to scan JL’s head as precaution. He wrote a letter for us to bring to the hospital.
We decided not to go to the nearby hospital due to our bad experience when JL was about 1 year old (another long story). PaPa would rather drive all the way to a further hospital and we were happy with the decision because everything was fast, efficient and the nurses were friendly with JL. While on the way to the hospital, we were looking for a shop to make a copy of the letter so that it would be faster to make insurance claim. We did a big mistake for not asking Dr to make a carbon copy of the letter.
One the way to the hospital, JL requested for water and after drinking water, he vomited again. At last we arrived at the hospital and immediately the nurse checked. Then JL was sent for CT Scan. After scan, we needed to wait for Radiologist to check the result. JL was much better and drank a box of milk. He was walking around and the nurses were impressed to see how co-operative he was with all the check-up. He didn’t move in the CT Scan and followed the instruction well. Good news, the scan’s result showed no blood clot and all was normal. Well, the bill was RM 555.20 as expected, thanks to the insurance we bought for JL when he was a baby.
JL was hungry and it was already after midnight that PaPa bought some nuggets for him. He took 2 nuggets and some milo. Then JL slept off on his carseat till we arrived home. We arrived home after 1am. All of us were extremely tired.
PaPa and KongKong went for dinner nearby because KongKong was worried that he didn’t take his dinner waiting to here the result. It seemed, after JL taken his dinner till the clinic, KongKong was just hugging and carrying JL. PohPoh, Yi Yee, Sam Yee and Sam Yee Cheong were all waiting at home till late night for the scan result. PaPa and Mummy’s handphones were busy with sms and calls.
We slept only after 2pm. PaPa slept with JL because JL was having minor fever. We got to continue to monitor him just to make sure.

it happened to Teng Hong when he was 10 months old, he fell downstair in his walker, made 2 somersault, soon he vomiitted 7x till doctor gave him medicine to stop it. According to the doctor who checked his body and his nerve response, nothing to be worried.
We were at Medan at that time, when we went back to KL 2 days later, his paed said he passed his critical moments already and didn't need to have CT-scan, so we monitored him only.
sometimes accident juz happened in front of our eyes, my kids too fell a few times coz of the wet floor, but they didn't vomit.
