Jeriel’s Pram & Stroller

Our pram/stroller is fully maximized because we go out quite often and for long period. Jeriel is not fussy and just take his nap in pram/stroller since he was a baby anywhere.

While preparing for the arrival of Jeriel, we bought a Combi pram during promotion for RM 399 because it was umbrella fold and light. The pram was sponsored by KongKong and PohPoh It served us for quite long especially useful for Mummy who need to push Jeriel every morning (to go nanny's house) from apartment to the car and then from car park to apartment in the evening. Jeriel also slept on the pram often when we go out.

Then Jeriel started to grow and we didn’t want to spoil the Combi pram. We were fortunate when a church member passed us an old stroller. That time their youngest 3rd child was already 7-8 years old, so you can imagine how old was that stroller and how solid was it. The only thing was the front wheels had problem but then we managed to survive with that stroller. PaPa, being a handyperson, also couldn’t find way to repair the wheel. The best part of the stroller was the front portion can be pushed up when Jeriel take his nap to rest his leg.

Then, near our apartment there was a warehouse (it is still on till now) where lots of furniture from hotels, unclaimed baggage and prams/strollers, some electrical items, and may others were sold in a very cheap price and it is negotiable. However the place is dusty and dirty. In our first visit, PaPa managed to get a Jansport bag for about RM15 and Jeriel got a small incredible bag for RM1. PaPa wanted to go through the piles of prams/strollers but time was limited because he saw a lot of good strollers.

Last Sunday 16 March 2008, we went to that place again to hunt for stroller. This was how the mountain of strollers looked like and PaPa had to go through the whole mountain by identifying the brand on the wheel.

PaPa found this MacLaren stroller (of course old model) which close to what Jeriel using now – umbrella fold and has the leg rest which can be pushed up or down for naptime. This stroller will be for baby once baby outgrown from Jeriel KorKor’s Combi Pram. Best of all, the price is unbelievable. It was RM 20 !!
