Mummy was feeling sick and went to see company Dr who told Mummy that Mummy got ear infection. Then Mummy sms a pharmacist friend, who said that if Mummy had not fever, try to avoid the antibiotic. Mummy’s gynae also replied Mummy’s sms to confirm that all the medication prescribed including antibiotic were safe for Mummy. However, Mummy was only taking painkiller and anti-swell medication but only 1-2 times day instead of 3X. Mummy avoided the antibiotic to see how it went.
Then last Sat, during the routine gynae check-up, Mummy told gynae to check whether it was ear infection or not. Gynae checked and found that Mummy’s ear was perfectly ok. Mummy was suffering congestion in the nose which caused ear ache, headache, and some throat pain. It was like getting flu. So, gynae gave Mummy nose drop (2X a day) and piriton (at night) to ease the congestion.
Mummy is feeling better even though not 100% but will let time to slowly clear the congestion.
Good thing, Mummy didn’t start the antibiotic and would have been taking antibiotic for non-infection ear.

Fhuiiyoo..luckily, you are based on your instinct......that's why I hate see GP...not because I doubt their capability, but they really didn't show their skill at all.
good thing you skipped the antibiotics. I also took piriton last month when I had cold. Get well soon!!
U should have gone straight to the gynae. GP this day, not sure whether they know what they are doing.
