Days with Kids
For two days, Mummy took off to take care of Jeriel and Ariel because PohPoh needed to run some errands. PaPa sent Jeriel to kindy then Mummy would fetch Jeriel back in the noon.
How was it?
It was fun spending time with them and no doubt quite tiring running the whole small apartment with two kids. Mummy would think running the whole apartment and spending time with kids were priceless. Mummy hardly got chance to try out our apartment mini gym especially exercise on the elliptical.

Books….
Mummy loves reading books since young. When Mummy was young, Mummy would read book everywhere – toilet, dining table, bedroom, car etc. Mummy was looking forward to finish up the whole story and could not wait to know the ending of the story. Now, how Mummy wished Mummy had the time to read own book because Mummy had been reading kids’ books for the kids since Jeriel was born. Mummy saw there are a lot of new books being launch and sold via internet especially via Amazon books.

Clock is ticking….
Nowadays majority of death is caused by cancer. It is regardless of age, as young as infant. The main cause of cancer is a big mystery. A lot of scientists are investigating for the causes and also for treatment. Cancers can attack any part of the body and organs. There are many types of cancer from a common ones like lung, brain, breast and many more, just to mention a few to the rare ones like mesothelioma.
Mummy has quite a number of relatives and friends who suffered and died of cancer. It is not only suffering to the cancer victims but also those loved ones, friends and family members.
Life is short. We should treasure our lives and loved ones now because time will not wait for anyone.

Help Baby C (HealthFreakMommy)
Adapted from PaikLing
*******
Dear friends,
Seeing the high cost of medical bill being incurred by HealthFreakMommy on Baby C, I was thinking of setting up a little fund to help ease their financial burden. Please feel free to rope in anyone whom you think would like to contribute. There is no minimum amount, as I think any amount helps.
Anyone who like to pledge please email me at huang.paik-ling@sc.com, and I’ll collate. I promise in God’s name that these funds will be accurately accounted for.
Don’t feel obliged to participate but would be grateful if you could help spread this around and say a prayer for Baby C’s speedy recovery and for HealthFreakMommy to be emotionally & physically strong to get through this difficult period.
Thanks. Paik Ling
HealthFreakMommy, Mummy will continue to keep you in prayer for Baby C. Be strong and always remember we are here to support you. . God blesses you, Baby C and the whole family.
Thanks PaikLing to initiate this for them…appreciate your effort…

Ariel will be 10 months old tomorrow
Ariel’s weight continued to drop and as on 11May2009, her weight was 8.8kg. Imagine from 10kg to 9.5kg and now to 8.8kg..Hmmm… should Mummy be getting worried? However, we noticed that she was taller, move a lot and sleep less too. Most probably the crawling exercise works better than any other diet pill that works.
As Mummy sees Ariel grows, time seems to fly so fast.
Solid Intake
Now Mummy is taking easy on her solid. We actually give her the food we eat but minus all the gravy etc... For example, when we are in IKEA, PaPa will order food with gravy separated so that Ariel can take some of the broccoli and poached potato. At PohPoh’s apartment, PohPoh will steam/boil extra vegetables which she cooks for Jeriel and let Ariel has some. So, far Ariel is happy eating what the adults are eating. Even though the amount is not much, it is better than nothing. As many mummies tell Mummy that each child is different from another. Ariel loves bread and any shows interest on the food adults are eating. We hope she will learn the good eating habit especially fruits and vegetables from her KorKor.

Mothering Mother 2009 09May09
Thanks to all the wonderful mummies who made time to spend time on Saturday morning.
Ros, sorry Mummy couldn’t be there...
Christene, very sorry that you need to run most of the errand because both Jeriel and Ariel were not feeling well and coincidently office were busy that Mummy couldn’t take any leave that week.
For updates do check Christene’s blog and also Ros's blog. Upon reading Christene’s experience, this was the main reason why Mummy didn’t want to take any medical related courses even to attend medical assistant training school. Firstly, Mummy was not a bright student to be a Doctor and secondly, Mummy would not have the courage to see all the people especially kids/babies suffering in the hospital daily, it would break Mummy’s heart to see all these sufferings. Mummy had many respect to all those working in the medical related jobs.

Addiction in society
There are many types of addiction which actually affect people’s lifestyle. There are many reasons why people fall into addiction which can be due to peer pressure, work stress and may other reason. These people will need a lot of help and support to be totally out of the addiction.
Some people manage to recover from addiction but ends up back to drug rehab several times. It is hard for some people who has recovered and be able to stay strong in the society which causes them to fall back to addiction.
Early education is one of the important ways to educate young generations about the danger of addiction and how to overcome the temptation. Parents and also educators play the supporting roles in helping to create a healthy society.

Inner Beauty vs Outer Beauty
A beautiful lady is usually judged when she is slim and thin. For those who are very conscious on their apparent will do anything to reduce and maintain their weight. Some will go for exercise, changing food intake lifestyle, food replacement diet and even some will take medication like appetite suppressant.
In Mummy’s opinion, beauty is in the eye of beholder. Personally, Mummy thinks that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty. What do you think?
