JL 1st Experience – Teeth Extraction

JL’s front bottom teeth have to be removed. In total 4 teeth to make way for two more teeth coming out. One of the teeth had come out behind his two baby teeth making his bottom part (from the top view) as two rows of teeth. The second tooth was already half way coming out. PaPa discovered it about two weeks ago and Ku Poh, the dentist asked us to wait hoping the baby teeth would drop by themselves. However, all 4 baby teeth refused to come out.

Last Saturday (15May2010), we went to Ku Poh’s clinic. Ku Poh did a good job telling story. She put a special gel to numb his gum before giving the injection. Ku Poh managed to remove two teeth with no tears. We were all so proud of him.

Then Monday (17May2010), PaPa brought JL again to see Ku Poh to extract out another two more teeth. This time JL cried and felt some pain because one of the tooth’s root did not come out when the tooth was extracted. Ku Poh had to clean up the remaining. However, we were still proud of him and PaPa rewarded him with some ice-cream. JL was still having some minor cough that PaPa limited his ice-cream intake.

The whole Monday was PaPa and JL’s day (PaPa & Son’s Day). They spent time together by having lunch together and also to Toys R Us Warehouse which happened to be last day on that day. They even went to Sunway Pyramid walking around. It was a good thing that JL did not demand expensive rewards such as upgrading our apartment television to Sony or Samsung Flat Screen (JL loved to see movie) or even getting him a Playstation or Wii. PaPa got him figuring from the Toys R Us warehouse which was 50% and it made JL extremely happy.

Note: The photos of JL’s teeth were in PaPa’s handphone which Mummy would need to download later.

He is a brave boy. At what age you start to bring him to dentist? I don't think Jonathan is willing to open his mouth for the dentist to examine.
