Well, all were cancelled due to rough sea. So the hotel organized a mini Explorace for us in around the hotel. Pelangi Resort had quite a big compound. We were divided to the same 3 groups like the day before. Since there were 13 of us, one of the Directors decided to rent a bicycle to capture all the interesting moments using her camera.
What did we do (I will try my best to remember all in sequence)…
1. Hunt for a white cloth which was tied on a tree
2. Find a giraffe which ended to be a dummy giraffe which was made of plants (sorry don't know how to explain)
3. Get a fruit and a leaf – most of us got the wrong fruit by carrying a heavy coconut, but good thing, my team realized something wrong half way, and one of the member ran back to change the fruit
4. Carry some coconuts using 2 rattan stick and walk to the designated place
5. Carry Canoe and walk around Tsunami Monument
6. Walk through a Swimming Pool which is about above waist line
7. Catch 2 hens/roosters
8. Fill up a big container on the ship by using a small bottle from river
9. Archery
10. Cut the old coconuts skin halfway with fork, tie 2 coconuts together using the skins, then carry a few pairs of coconuts using 2 bamboo sticks without falling any of the tied coconuts.
11. Collect a few more items
12. Cannot remember all…oopss..
Even though it was only a few hours but it was tiring running around the hotel compound, by the beach and in the pool under hot sunny day. We went back for a bath, then meet up for announcement of the winner before lunch.
Even though we were the last team to arrive but we won 1st placing because we brought back the right fruit instead of coconut. Another team check-in with one of the member missing so points were deducted.
That evening, some went to Kuah town. My room mate and I decided to close the whole chalet curtain and slept in the aircond until 5.30pm. Then, we went for a dip in the swimming pool.
Dinner was out of hotel but walking distance. It was very nice having dinner by the beach under coconut trees. We walked back to the hotel by the beach after dinner.
That night, we 'lepak' in another room including the guys (except for our Directors who were busy) ---chit chatting and some was drinking Chivas. This time just normal casual chats.
