Answer to the Question :How come PaPa never....

Referring to the earlier post regarding JL's Question on “How come I never see Papa buy flowers for Mummy one?”, Mummy wanted to give JL boy the answer but it would be hard for him to understand. So Mummy decided to write a letter and hope that JL would understand why when he would be more mature to understand.

Dear JL boy,

PaPa did give Mummy flower last time but then knowing Mummy who was very particular on spending money, PaPa hardly spent money on flowers. Mummy still remembered well all the flowers which PaPa presented to Mummy because Mummy treasured every each one of it. So Mummy dried each of the bouquet and kept each in a bottle and now it is displayed in the small hall above the TV (of course with PaPa’s help). The bottles looked like dried herbal in medical hall as commented but a lot of our friends who visited our apartment.

PaPa was and is great hubby to Mummy. Instead of flowers, PaPa presented Mummy with many self made gifts, lots lots of snail mail (handwritten) during our 5 years long distance relationship because we cannot afford neither an internet access nor handphone,

a nice file (with PaPa and Mummy’s photo plus of course a poem which PaPa wrote during our 1st month of our courtship) made by PaPa for Mummy to use during university time to carry all Mummy's notes which now Mummy used to compile all the snail mails others

but the most memorable one was a song that PaPa wrote and sang during the Church Holy Matrimony just for Mummy.

The 1st bouquet flower was presented when Mummy got a Diploma, followed by 2nd bouquet when Mummy got a Degree. Both were during convocation. Mummy found out that it was hard for PaPa to smuggle the 2nd bouquet to Mummy’s car to avoid Mummy noticing it because PaPa had to ride motorcycle from KL to Cyberjaya for Mummy’s Convocation. Mummy’s car had no space because Mummy’s family was following in the car too.

The 3rd bouquet was PaPa and Mummy’s wedding day bouquet. This was the only one which we managed to preserve it as a bouquet itself without having to cut into smaller pieces like the others which were too big to be put into the bottles.

Then the 4th bouquet was actually presented to PaPa for his Convocation and during that time, you, JL boy was in Mummy’s tummy.

As for the 5th bouquet, it was presented during PaPa and Mummy’s 1st Wedding Anniversary. JL was about 2 months plus.After JL was born, all PaPa and Mummy attention were on you, JL. So we hardly go anywhere without you except during office hours. We did everything together as three of us even till now. Mummy didn’t mind if the money is spent on you rather than on Mummy.

Maybe next time when financially PaPa and Mummy are ok, then you would see PaPa giving flowers to Mummy. Now, Mummy is very contented with our life even though we cannot afford big house, nice car and great vacation. However, we enjoyed every bit of our time together even by just spending time in our apartment. Mummy is sure that you (and also PaPa) would agree with that. We enjoyed doing house chores, marketing, grocery shopping and many others together. PaPa and Mummy would try our very best to give the best to you within our affordability.

JL boy, you are everything to PaPa and Mummy. To Mummy, you are far the greatest ‘flower’, Papa ever gave to Mummy’s life that both PaPa and Mummy shared and nobody can take that away from us.

Mummy hope this would explain your question on “How come I never see Papa buy flowers for Mummy one?” and it is not wrong to ask my dear boy. PaPa did give Mummy a few bouquets of flowers but remember you are the greatest ‘flower’ that PaPa gave to Mummy.
