How come PaPa never....

Yi Yee shared with me something funny which happened yesterday evening. I couldn’t help laughing and decided to share in the blog.

After work yesterday, as usual I reached home greeted by a small hand opening the front door, and a little face peering out from behind the door. JL boy popped out and screamed, “Yi Yee!” Oh, what a bliss, that’s what I look forward to every day after a stressful day at work. Well, yesterday, I came home with a HUGE bouquet of flowers and asked JL Boy to help Yi Yee close the door. While closing, or rather slamming the door shut, he turned to me and asked,

JLBoy : Yi Yee, how come u got soooo many flowers one?Yi Yee : Coz it’s Yi Yee’s birthday ma…JLBoy : But your birthday is over (with a serious look…)
Yi Yee : But can still receive gifts one mah…JLBoy : And then how come I never see Papa buy flowers for Mummy one?Yi Yee : Probably because Mummy doesn’t like flowers?

He was in deeeeeeeepppp thoughts. Then when he was leaving to go home, I passed him a stalk of rose, I asked,

Yi Yee : Boy, when you give mummy this flower, what do you say to mummy?

JL with a finger on his lips, and eyes that looks like he was in deep thoughts,

JLBoy : Say………Mummy, how come Papa never gives you flowers one? ….and…. then……. Mummy I love you! (with a grin)
Yi Yee : ????? (dumbfounded…) hahahahahhahaahahhaahahahahahhahahaha……..

JLBoy had this look on his face that says “what is wrong with Yi Ye, did I say anything wrong?”

JL came back with KongKong carrying the flower. When he arrived home, he gave Mummy the flower and said “I love you, Mummy”.
