Book Review: Managing kids’ feelings

Some of you might remember how JL had fear to go to his previous kindergarten last year. It was a very stressful moment not only for JL but to PaPa, Mummy and also grandparents. Then Mummy found this book titled Sam Feels Better Now and decided to read it. Even though JL had overcame the fear and happy with his current kindergarten, Mummy felt that this book would still be useful for future on how to manage both Jeriel and Ariel if there were to face any traumatic event or crisis experience.

After going through the book, Mummy was very impressed on how great the book was written interactively just for children to help them to overcome all these negative feelings in a gentle and loving way but effective. The structure of the whole process was very systematic from helping the kids to express their feelings, to understand their feelings and to help them to overcome their feelings. All these were done in different activities which includes drawings, play and story telling.

This book would be useful not only to those who manage kids like counselor but also to parents.
