Last Weeked Sunday…25Apr2010

We decided to go to Desa Parkcity after our last trip. The last trip, we went there to fly kites. This time, JL requested to play football and also roller blade. We bought this roller blade for long time during a warehouse in USJ many years ago. It was the last pair at a bargain price.

Sam Yee, Sam Yee Cheong, KongKong and PohPoh also followed us there. When we arrived there, it was raining and JL was so sad. We decided to wait at WaterFront hoping for the rain to stop. Sam Yee Cheong helped JL with his roller blade and JL was playing in the WaterFront.

The rain did stop and we moved to the park. JL managed to balance and walk on his roller blade. Later, Sam Yee Cheong put on his roller blade to play along with JL. JL was determined to skate like Sam Yee Cheong and he did not cry even though he fell down a few times. He had no major injuries and Mummy was thinking about the
online life insurance mentioned by someone. How convenient now when everything was available via online.

AL was walking and running around with a ball.

After roller blading, JL played football with PaPa and Sam Yee Cheong.
As for dinner, we went to have Dim Sum in Jalan Ipoh.
It was a great evening for the two kids.

Last Weeked Saturday…24Apr2010

Last Saturday, after church (evening service), we went to Midvalley. We had dinner in the Gardens Food Court where it was less crowded and the price of the food was the same as compared to Midvalley Food Court. After their meal, PaPa promised them ABC with ice-cream. Both the kids loved ABC Ice Cream and it was a treat for them.

After that, PaPa took them to Toys R Us while Mummy went to do grocery shopping. Mummy decided to buy some vegetables to cook for PaPa and Mummy dinner during weekdays. Mummy decided to try to make time back to those days where we ate simple vegetables with no rice for dinner. Hope, it would work…

While in the supermarket section, Mummy spotted this Cowboy Hat. Farmhouse fresh milk was having promotion plus a free Cowboy Hat for any purchase of 8 cartons. So tempted that Mummy called PaPa and he asked Mummy to get it since the expiry date was in one month time and also the price was on promotion.

JL was so nice to share with AL. AL was wearing the oversized Cowboy Hat while being carried in the ring sling in Midvalley. It was a nice, lovely and big Cowboy Hat.

“I want money”

From wanting to be pretty and now AL liked to say “I want money”. We really did not know where she learnt that. She would take anything including her toy ‘masak-masak’ bowl and going around asking for money. AL even took JL’s wallet and refused to return to her KorKor.

Last Monday, we went to ‘pasar malam’ to get some fruits and we found this princess wallet which was less than RM2. While we were on the way home in the car, AL started to say ‘PaPa, I want money.” while showing her new princess wallet.

Did she know the usage of money? What is money to her?

Mummy wondered what would be her next phrase, hmmm “Mummy, I want face wrinkle cream.” LOL

Growing old gracefully

We cannot run away from getting old but it will be nice if we can grow old gracefully.

Mummy had been taking for granted on Mummy’s face but quite some time. It was due to time and money which made Mummy never bother to take care of Mummy’s face. Recently, Mummy just woke up and was trying to check out in www.acnetreatmentsreview.net/ . Then Mummy had a talk with a friend on how Mummy could manage to take care of skin with minimum time and money. Mummy’s friend had a good skin texture and she looked younger than her age.

She shared to Mummy her range she was using. She just maintained using it and did not need to spend her time or money at any facial centers. Mummy just need to take time after bath in the morning and evening by cleansing, toning and moisturize the skin. Then replace cleansing to facial scrub twice a week. Besides that, Mummy added a small amount of eye cream at least 1-2 in a day after toning the face. Well, it did sound a lot of work but after doing it for a few days, it become part of routine and habit. It did not take much time rather than finding time to do facial on monthly basis. The money, the skin care ranges could last Mummy for a few months so by splitting the amount by month it did not really that bad the amount invested.

After about one month following the routine, Mummy was not sure how the outcome is but maybe one month would be too short to get the result. At least, Mummy could still go to office with zero make-up. Shy to say that Mummy do not make-up to work with the main excuse as no time but the other reason was Mummy does not know how to make-up.

Hopefully, with this small effort and also diet change would help Mummy to grow old GRACEFULLY

Healthy eating habit

Most of us know and understand the theory of good healthy eating habit. The heaviest meal is supposed to be breakfast follow by lunch and the lightest will be the dinner. It is best to keep 3 good meals and avoid heavy munching in between. In between meals, take high fiber food like fruits and oats.

Last time, yes few years ago, PaPa and Mummy used to eat only stir fry vegetables and sometimes with steam fish or steam chicken without any salt as our dinner. We did not even take rice. We got use to the habit and than when Mummy got pregnant and could not stand the oil smell that we stopped.

However, recently Mummy realizes that there is something wrong with PaPa and Mummy’s body immune system because we seem to have lack of energy and many other negative impacts on us physically and mentally.

So Mummy told PaPa that we need to get our dinner habit corrected by consuming vegetables and fruits at night. It can be not only the best colon cleanse for us and also to cleanse our whole body system. Hopefully it would work because taking the first step would be a challenge for us and to maintain that practice until it became our habit would be another challenge.

Book Review: Wright on Time series

New kids series was making a hit in US. Mummy got two books which were Wright on Time: Arizona and Wright on Time: Utah. Mummy found that these first two books series were interesting. The story was about a family consists of Harrison (Daddy), Stephanie (Mummy), Nadia (Sister) , Aidan (Brother) and also Prince Pumpkin III, (a 50-year-old turtle extraordinaire) on a roadschool tour of the 50 states in US on their Recreational Vehicle (RV).

Both Nadia and Aidan were homeschooled by their parents. Mummy Stephanie was a telecommuting computer expert who had a flexibility of working in the RV while Daddy Harrison was writer and linguistics expert. Nadia was a smart and curious 11-year-old girl while her brother Aidan was a fun and lively 7-year-old boy.

The first location was to Arizona where they explored a desert cave and discovered the bats, variety of minerals. Next was at Utah joining the dinosaur dig searching for allosaurus bones. By just reading these two books had already opened up Mummy’s eye to a different type of adventures which was educational RV roadschool tour. More families were embarking into homeschooling the kids. Mummy strongly recommended this series because it would be educational and by the end of the series, we would have travelled to 50 states learning about the different and uniqueness of each state.

“No, No, No”

AL’s current favorite word would be NO. In addition, it compliment with some actions to emphasize more. Let’s see if Mummy would be able to write in word to explain the actions. Mummy should have taken some photos of her action.
First with her serious look, she would wave one of her hands left, right, left and right in front of her by saying “No,No,No” than followed by another hand with the same action and same phrase. Then when she saw that her message did not get through (for example we would laugh and ignore her), she would than fold her two arms up and said another “No,No,No” seriously showing that she really meant it.

After getting our attention, then she would start to laugh and laugh her cheeky laugh followed by running away. It would be even funnier if she made all the actions with hip hop clothing and music.

Where did she learn that? Hmmmm….
