The surprise…

Sorry…all sudden Mummy had so many meetings to settle some issues that Mummy didn’t had time to enter the blog for the whole week… Anyway, Mummy was not good in keeping secret because some people manage to guess…

Firstly, why it was a coincidence gift and surprise?

Mummy’s company had a deal with a telecommunication Cxxxxx for all the top management on corporate package. The package had been extended to all staffs. The package was a good deal especially to call within my colleagues (who were majority on these package) because there was zero commitment fees with up to 50hours per month of free calls and 500 sms within my colleagues who signed up the Corporate package.

So Mummy signed up with another different number and got a free cheap handphone. The best thing was Mummy managed to get the same last 4 numbers with Mummy’s current Mxxxx’s number.

Why not transfer from Mxxxx to Cxxxxx?

It was not worth to transfer because majority of Mummy’s call was to Mxxxx and it would be expensive to move to Cxxxxx. So, PaPa said just applied another line to get the free handphone to use. We were given optional to buy other phone including BlackBerry at discounted price which was tempting but Mummy got to let go this opportunity … maybe later.

Mummy was not a handbag person. Lunch time, Mummy had this mini pouch which would fit in the old faithful almost 4-year-old handphone and a small no brand purse.

However, now with two handphones Mummy was cracking Mummy’s head and PaPa was helping to find a bigger pouch. We were looking for a mini toiletries bag to use. Sam Yee suggested Mummy to hunt in flee market. Honestly, Mummy only knew there were handbag and sling bag until Yi Yee and Sam Yee suggested in getting a wristlet for PohPoh. How naïve Mummy was…

The challenging part would be trying to fit all items into a bag for lunch time. Besides that, Mummy was having a hard time trying to learn to use the new handphone which Mummy was not familiar because Mummy was too used with Nxxxx. PaPa said just make do with the handphone until we can afford another new handphone. Hmmm…maybe a Blackberry, a Nokia N series or ipod (including the ipod accessories)? When the time come…

So this sweet angel must have got news from God (because Mummy didn’t tell anyone at all about Mummy’s problem) and posted Mummy this Coach wristlet. The best part was it was plain black with no C Logos everywhere printed on the wristlet. Mummy just loved the simplicity of the wristlet. It was Mummy’s first ever branded wristlet. Mummy’s last brand handbag was from KongKong and PohPoh many years ago, a small Bonia handbag which Mummy would use only when Mummy attend a wedding dinner alone.

Many hugs and kisses to this sweet angel…. Mummy really didn’t know how Mummy could ever bless her back…

Mummy was speechless….

Mummy was caught by a great surprise when Mummy opened up a Poslaju mini parcel for Mummy last Friday 20Aug2010. It was not Mummy’s birthday…

Mummy was jumping like small kid around the whole apartment and smiling but speechless until PaPa, JL and AL were wondering what happen to Mummy. When Mummy waved the gift to PaPa, PaPa understood why Mummy was jumping and speechless…

It met all Mummy’s criteria:

1. Something Mummy needed to use and Mummy had been discussing with PaPa for a cheaper alternative

2. It was branded (Mummy’s first branded item…)

3. It was exactly what Mummy like simple, no big brand logo and easy to match.

Take a guess…………Mummy would like to thank this pretty angel who somehow knew what was in Mummy’s mind…

Job movement

Mummy used to be involved in job which is related to health care jobs for almost 8 years before deciding to move to a different industry. Opportunity knocks and Mummy accepts the offer. It is a hard decision to let go of the comfort zone environment and venturing to something new to Mummy. Within 3 years, Mummy decides to take up another challenge by getting a transfer to a department which Mummy need to start almost from the bottom. Mummy hope this time it will be the right one. Hopefully…

Everyone loved durians….including AL…

The day before, officially we found that AL loved durian. We had durian buffet in PJ SS2 on Monday 16Aug2010. It was AL’s first attempt eating durian. PaPa, Mummy and KorKor loved durians. AL took her first bite on 16Aug2010. Initially she wanted PaPa to feed her and asked Mummy to wipe her hand because she was not used to the messiness. However, slowly she started to explore and upon seeing how PaPa, Mummy and KorKor ate, she started to pick up the durian and fed herself. When we asked her if it was nice, she nodded her head and replied ‘Nice’.

Yes… whole family was officially durian lover… AL’s cheek smelt like durian for the whole night…. LOL

AL’s surprise parcel

On 22July2010, AL got a surprise parcel from Aunty Shireen and Aunty Paik Ling. It was something more precious than diamonds because both gifts were from two lovely aunties who remembered AL's birthday. How blessed AL was to have so many people who loved her a lot... Aunty Shireen got her this cutie pant and Aunty Paik Ling gave her this beautiful cap. It took us sometimes to convince her to wear the cap maybe because she never wore this type of fitting cap and was trying to get use to it. Please check out the photos below…

AL 1st Haircut….

On 30July2010, AL got her first haircut (since birth). PaPa loved her soft hair that he didn’t let Mummy shave AL’s hair when AL was a baby. AL had fine, little and soft hair. AL’s hair grew longer and longer. She kept pushing her hair left and right using her hands that we usually had to tie up like ‘pokok kelapa’ for her.

At last, Mummy couldn’t ‘tahan’ and told PaPa, we must trim her hair. The initial plan was just to trim and keep the length. The aunty hairdresser said it would be better to cut short so that AL’s hair would look more and too flat. She said better keep short until her hair grew more than only keep her hair longer. Reluctantly, PaPa agreed.

Initially AL refused to enter the hairdresser new our apartment. Mummy had to carry her in by force. Than she refused to let Mummy wear the plastic robe. At the end, aunty had to cut her hair while AL sitting on Mummy’s lap. At the end of the session, Mummy’s whole body was covered with AL’s hair. Also at the end, AL found that it was not a bad experience after all. She even allowed aunty to trim her front fringe while she sat quietly which really surprised us all because even now her KorKor JL couldn’t sit still when PaPa tried to trim his fringe.

That day when everyone asked AL, “Where pretty, pretty?” She would show her hair…

PohPoh’s 55th Birthday

PohPoh turned 55 on 30July2010. It was Friday and we decided to have dinner at Wong Poh since PohPoh loved crabs. For that day, she was allowed to eat as much as she one but other day we got to limit her due to health reason.

After dinner, we went to Sam Yee’s apartment to cut a specially ordered cake by Sam Yee. The cake was unique because it was made of fine black sesame with a layer of apple and honey cake. All three layers were nice combination (Honey Fuji Apple & Black Sesame Mousse Cake).

PohPoh got a nice Coach wristlet as gift from us. Yi Yee bought from her friend who brought from overseas. Hmmm…now PohPoh could join Yi Yee and Sam Yee each having Coach except Mummy. The wristlet was just nice for PohPoh to put her handphone, identity card, some dollar notes and gold coins for her daily usage.

Happy 55th Birthday to PohPoh !!!
