On 01Aug2013 night, after our usual prayer meeting at
Tai Pak’s house, that night we left to KongKong apartment. JL had already
suspected what was the surprise and we kept reminding him to shhh…
As soon as the lift opened, both kids ran out to their
grandparents’ apartment. JL greeted Sam Yee Cheong at the corridor. AL was in
shocked than she turned back running to us as if she had just seen a ghost. She
was in daze and refused to enter the apartment to greet Sam Yee.
Both JL and AL missed them a lot since they migrated to
AU end of last year. It was the first time EL seeing them face to face. We did
Skype with each other. That night, there was a mini feast of local food
requested by them. Sam Yee baked cupcakes and brought them all the way from AU
via hand carry.
It would be a busy month for us and coincidently it was
school holiday time…
