Part 2e: Breastfeeding--Our freezer is back to normal

AL was 1 year and 3 months on last 20 October 2009. She was and is still 100% on breastmilk. Mummy was clearing the stock in the freezer. As on 26 Oct 2009, the balance breastmilk in the freezer was 60.5oz. This was a big decrease as compared to last time where Mummy needed more than one freezer to keep the breastmilk.

Mummy had only pumped once in a day after work at home. Some times, if there was any urgent appointment to rush, Mummy would not pump for the whole day. Mummy still fed AL directly every night and also weekend full day. Mummy was surprised that Mummy managed to breastfeed her for full day even though Mummy only pumped once during weekdays. When Mummy going to stop pumping and stop breastfeeding? Hmmm… this would be hard to judge but it would be soon… Mummy’s once a day pumping on weekday with average about 6-8 oz. At times when the supply was good, Mummy would be able to pump out 10-12 oz which was quite rare nowadays.

Once Mummy stopped breastfeeding, Mummy hoped Mummy would not need any apidexin to avoid weight gain because Mummy had not been controlling Mummy’s diet intake since Mummy got pregnant with AL till now.

At last we got back our freezer where on 13 Oct 2009, Mummy managed to move all the frozen breastmilk from the big to the small compartment. As for today, the number of frozen breastmilk had decreased significantly. Mummy would freeze the breastmilk using bottles instead of storage bags since there was space in the freezer. We managed to survive without having to spend money buying a freezer and also we did not know where to put the freezer if we had bought one then.

Injured hand…

Last Saturday during a gathering, JL’s left hand had been accidentally stepped by an adult friend. JL was in a great pain and was crying. Since it was a bit swollen on Sunday evening, PaPa took him to see a doctor on Sunday night and the doctor suggested JL to go to the hospital for an x-ray. He wrote a letter and PaPa drove to the hospital with JL.
It was a long night while Mummy was at home with AL. AL was very upset and refused to sleep because she was not allowed to follow PaPa and KorKor to go out which she thought they were going for an outing. Mummy was at home managing cranky AL while worrying about JL. Hopefully no extra pimples and wrinkles would pop out on Mummy’s face requiring Pronexin to treat. It was quite late at night when PaPa said that the x-ray was cleared and no fracture on JL’s hand.

Since it was late at night, JL didn’t go to kindy on Monday. On Tuesday when he went to kindy, his eyes were teary not because of the pain but because he couldn’t join the concert dance practice. Seeing his friends practicing while he sat at the staircase was very sad for him.

He actually was brave enough to allow PaPa to massage his hands even though it was painful because he wanted his hand to heal faster. On Wednesday, he was happy when he could lift up his hand and join the dance practice even though it was still a bit of pain. PaPa would continue to massage his hands slowly. We hope his hand would recover on time for his kindy concert which would be on next Saturday 07Nov09.

Handy Manny

PaPa loved to walk in hardware shops and JL would be the person faithfully walking with him. JL would be asking all the different things in the shop. PaPa also bought him some small real tools to add onto his mini work bench which he got from his last year Christmas 2008. This mini workbench was less than RM50.

These two items below are real items but in mini size.

PaPa also got him from sales a belt to hang the tools like Handy Manny from the Playhouse Disney.

Last Saturday, PaPa got him a small tool. Mummy knew some basic items like screwdriver, hammer, tails etc but there were some unfamiliar words or phrases like spring plungers etc..

U.S.A

Who had been to US?

All mummy’s friends who went to US had always told Mummy that Mummy must go there. Even PaPa’s Yee Ma in Florida had been asking us to visit her. There were so many places Mummy wanted to visit in US. We were surfing the internet on florida vacations,
orlando vacations and many other where especially theme parks were located. All looked interesting and fun for the whole family. One day….one day….we would be there…

Keyboard & Mini Drum Set

Since JL started his music lesson, the person who loved to play with the keyboard most was AL. She would push a small chair, climb herself up and asked us to on the keyboard so that she could play with the keyboard. When JL was practicing his keyboard, she would be standing just below the keyboard and reaching the keyboard with her tiny fingers to disturb JL practice. Sometimes, she would go to JL’s mini drum which was given by YiYee on his 2nd Birthday. Would xbox 360 worth to be invested for the whole family to have fun?

Broken Sink

Our master bedroom sink broken, not the whole sink but just a small piece. Another unexpected replacement (unplanned money to be spent) we needed to do. PaPa would be buying the sink and replacing by himself. Mummy hoped this would be done soon because knowing PaPa was extremely busy all the time juggling between his work and his studies. It would be nice if we could get a nice Kohler faucet to replace our old tap when we replace the sink. Having both replaced at the same time would look nice.

Managing blog

A lot friends had asked Mummy to get Mummy’s own domain but Mummy was not sure how long Mummy would be blogging as it had been hard to find time to manage the photos and also do write-up. A lot of people realize that Mummy’s stories were always outdated which was sad. Do you think Mummy needed help from someone or maybe best seo software to help managing and further improve Mummy’s blog?

More food for PaPa…

Last Saturday was another round of feast but Mummy decided to go for only one gathering. PaPa dropped us at that gathering then he went a Deepavali open house which was coincidently located nearby. After a short time there, PaPa came back to join the gathering with us. It was our church member, both husband and wife cooking Korean food for us. The husband was from Korea. How could we resist home cook Korean food and it was yummy. Besides enjoying the food, it was a great fellowship meeting friends whom we did not meet for a few years. PaPa might need to check out some weight loss pills if he did not get any exercise to get rid of all the extra calories consumed from the two feasts.

PohPoh’s trip to organic shop

Last weekend, Mummy brought PohPoh to the organic shop to get some things. It was a warehouse and the person in-charge would usually give 20% for any dry items in the shop. PohPoh wanted to get brown rice for Ah Chor (JL’s great grandmother) but we ended up getting multi grain for Ah Chor. Mummy got for PohPoh oatmilk and PohPoh could not decide whether she wanted to get body cleansing powder to mix with the oatmilk or not. She heard of a few in the market including oxypowder, barley powder, wheat grass powder and many just to list a few which she was not sure which to get so Mummy told her to think and we could still come back to the shop any weekend.

Frustration and sadness

Mummy had been caught up with so many things (one after another) but the worst was on car issue which now making our plan to purchase a car further postponed.

We had been postponing upgrading our Aeroback to a sedan since 2006 thinking that we might get our number 2 in 2007 so that we would have a bigger booth to store things. After the
miscarriage and PaPa went into freelancing job, we further postpone our plan. Then we thought maybe we would try using the Aeroback when AL was born for time being and see how.

Our plan was to get a 3rd sedan car and passed our Kancil for KongKong to use while PaPa would continue using the Iswara Aeroback. However, we would not have enough down payment if we did not trade-in the Iswara Aeroback. Then we thought maybe just trade-in the Iswara Aeroback and a car for KongKong would be in future (dare not set our target when would it be...). This was our plan for 2010.

Then something happen (a very long long story which really upset Mummy a lot…) which caused us to further postpone again our plan.

Maybe Mummy needed to be a business plan writer just to plan to get a sedan car? Sigh, sigh…It was just to get a normal sedan car only and it was so hard to achieve. We dared not even plan for a 7-seater (MPV). Mummy appreciated all the comments given
here.

Mummy had to try to look at the positive side and moved forward... Mummy got quite a number of posts to update especially on the kids and please be patient yar…As usually, always outdated…

Motorcycle Accident……

PaPa had a big and ugly scar on one of his arm. The scar would always remind us about PaPa’s motorcycle accident back in North during student time. A car just decided to turn without looking at the mirror and PaPa was not on time to brake. PaPa got a very bad wound that the hospital did not do a good job on cleaning the wound. PaPa ended up admitted in the Hospital Kuala Lumpur due to infections. Back to accident, did PaPa get any compensation? Mummy was not sure and wondered if there was such thing as San Jose motorcycle accident attorney here in Malaysia...

Sleepless nights

What are the consequences of sleepless nights? The answer would be black eye like panda and ugly eye bags. This would be terrible and Mummy usually didn’t put any make-up on the face making it so obvious. Would there be any good eye cream at a reasonable price? Getting the eye cream would be the first issue but making time to put the eye cream will be another issue. Would Mummy be discipline enough?

03 Oct 2009 – Busy Saturday

Last Saturday our timetable was full for the whole day.
JL had his second last swimming lesson in the morning. Then in the afternoon, he had his music lesson.
After the music lesson, we went to Mummy’s colleague Raya open house. After the open house, we went to church for evening service which we could not miss because a show ‘Judah Ben-Hur’ was being performed by two talented persons from US.
From church, we went to Aunty Paik Ling’s house for Bradley’s Full Moon dinner. That was not the end, from full Moon dinner, we went to Aunty Sharon’s house for Lantern session for the kids where we met Aunty Vichelle and family and Uncle HH (Aunty Sharon’s hubby) made lovely pohpiah for us to eat. It was a whole day catching up with friends and also EATING.
Mummy hoped Mummy didn’t have to pop in some diet pills to get rid of all the unnecessary fats…

02-Oct-2009

What did Mummy do the whole day?

Morning, Mummy sent JL to his kindy and spent some time talking to his Principal who showed me a learning material from Grolier which was interesting but pricey. PaPa and Mummy would be considering whether it was worth get or not once PaPa got the chance to view the material. The 3 sets would be almost RM 1.5k which could be used as young as 2 yrs old up to about 9 years old which focused on building kids’ attention span.

After that, Mummy had a fast breakfast with
Aunty Jazzmint in McD which was located just below of her office. Then Mummy went to a long overdue facial. The facial package of 3 sessions was signed up since 2006 and yes, it took 3 years just to complete the 3 sessions. Would Mummy extend the facial package? Nope. It was because of location and also price.

Lunch?
Mummy managed to make a last minute appointment with an old friend whom Mummy met when Mummy took up Tae-Kwondo back in uni times where her father was Mummy’s master. Mummy’s hphone battery decided to die off and Mummy waited in a strategy place hoping she would be able to locate Mummy and yes… we met up for a lunch. Then since Mummy’s apartment was nearby, she followed Mummy back to view our tiny apartment while Mummy charged the hphone. After a short while, Mummy sent her back to office then drop by to trim Mummy’s messy hair in the saloon near the apartment. While getting the hair trim and hair wash, Mummy got the hphone to be charged in the shop.

When Mummy got home for a while after lunch with friend, PaPa called and informed about
Pearson Book Warehouse in Jalan Tandang, PJ starting from 02-11Oct09. Mummy went with PohPoh and JL. AL spent time with KongKong in the apartment. JL was so excited that he started his shopping by choosing his books till the books were stacked almost to his height. PaPa dropped by after work to rescue Mummy to negotiate with JL which books to buy and which not to buy. We were in the warehouse from about 5pm till 7++ pm.

We spent most of the time in the children’s section looking through the books.

Mummy went back first with PohPoh while JL and PaPa spent a little bit longer in the warehouse. Ladybird’s books were selling as low as RM4 and many other books for both adults and children. We didn’t buy many Ladybirds books this time but instead we bought a few DK books which were selling at a good price. DK books on general knowledge were beautiful photographs printed. Mummy would share later on the books purchased after negotiation with JL. JL also insisted to get something for AL, and then we got something very nice for her…

Both PaPa and Mummy rushed to bath and went out for dinner. JL wanted to have pasta and we decided to try Pasta Zanmai in 1Utama after hearing a lot of review for Sam Yee and friends that it was nice. The price was a bit above average but PaPa said that day was Mummy’s birthday, it was ok. After dinner, we went for a short walk. JL kept whispering and Mummy overheard that he was reminding PaPa to buy a cake.

We bought a small cake in one of the bakery then back home to cut the cake.

Photos as usual were not downloaded into the external HDD yet...still in the camera. Besides that, Mummy suspected that Mummy’s external HDD might be infected with virus and Mummy might need to get PaPa’s help to get updated
antivirus software.

Do check out some of AL photos taken by
Aunty Ita here.

Riding bicycle

JL had yet to learn to cycle with two wheels. We would need to find time to help me to ride bicycle with two wheels instead of four wheels. As the current bicycle would be small for JL, it would be time for us to get a bigger one and passing his current one to AL. We had not gone out to survey on the bicycle. JL had a bicycle helmet and now Mummy wondered would the kids need to wear safety vests or not. Hmm… maybe they might not need the vests for time being since they would not be cycling at night.

Our small room is Study cum Store Room

PaPa loved to Do-It-Yourself (DIY) a lot of things if he could find the time. Most of the item in apartment either made or install by PaPa. PaPa even designed the small room into study cum store room. PaPa would probably need to plan whether fixing rack mount would help to ease the congestions of that room as the store area was getting full.

Mummy is one year older today….

Last Sunday, KongKong, PohPoh, Yi Yee, Sam Yee and Sam Yee Cheong together our family went for dinner in King Crab Kelana Jaya. After simple dinner, we went to our apartment where Mummy got a jelly cake for Mummy’s birthday.

Mummy got two nice blouses which could be worn to office and also weekend as casual blouse. It was simple and nice. It was actually what Mummy needed since Mummy had mostly t-shirts to be worn during weekend.

Mummy’s weekend outing clothes would usually be simple either a short or a jeans paired up with a t-shirt or blouse. Mummy hardly wore any sexy adult costumes because Mummy did not have nice figure and besides that having kids, would be impossible to be so lady like. Mummy would be running everywhere with kids.

What Mummy would be doing today?
Mummy took a day off to run errand. Yes, run errand on birthday. Is there any special plan? As far as for now, there is no plan.
