Gastric after many years…

It had been long time since Mummy last got a gastric. The worst was during student time when Mummy was rushing for assignments deadline without proper meal time and sleepless nights.
Last Monday when Mummy was in Denpasar (Bali) airport doing validation, we ended up taking lunch at 3pm. After lunch, Mummy started to have bad gastric attack which Mummy was hunting for gastric pills.
Language was a problem to explain what was a gastric to the staffs working in a shop. There was no pharmacy around which made it worst. In pain, Mummy went through the whole shelves of medication in the shop identifying the medications from headache pills, colon cleansing pills, fever, stomachache pills etc...
At last Mummy found the gastric pills and just bought it because the liquid one was not available. The liquid would take effect faster than pills but what choice Mummy had. Thank goodness, it worked that Mummy could continue to work till night.

Unfit…

Mummy would be one of the worst in term of fitness. Imagine hardly or even zero exercise except walking around the office buildings for meeting plus running around the apartment. It was so unlike Mummy when Mummy was a student because Mummy was very fit that even cycling up a slope in the university area was just a piece of cake. Now, the Mummy’s muscle was so stiff as if that it needed symbiotropin. This would be bad in long term.

Go natural…

A lot of people are moving to natural product not only in food but also medication. Even oxyelite pro reviews are also promoting their natural fat burner in the product. Whether this product is effective or not, it will be hard to judge because different people’s body acts differently on different product. How about going 100% purely natural like eating fresh fruits and vegetables? This will be a much better option, right?

Shoes collection

Do you change office shoes daily? Mummy would be the most boring person having to wear only the same shoes to office until when the shoes worn off, the replacement shoes would be the same black with big heals to ease walking since Mummy’s office had several buildings situated in a big area along both side of the main roads. Mummy’s current shoes were still ok with some early sign of worn off. Hmmm, maybe shoebuy coupons would be able to give Mummy the right shoes at the right price?

Getting old…

Getting old would be the next scary part to women especially besides weight issue. Mummy could not help admiring some people who had such glowing and youthful face as compared to their age. Please click here to learn more about one of the alternative remedy on anti aging.  Besides that, enough of rest and good diet also helped as anti aging. On top of that, always be happy and cheerful plus keep positive… Agree?

Joint pain

Joint pain especially osteoarthritis is so common now regardless old or young.  Most people opt for high dosage of pain killers to suppress the pain. It can be very painful and also causing deformation on the joints. Besides taking oral drugs, some people will also use external treatment like taking msm lotion with combination with the oral medications. Most acute pain patient find this combination is able to reduce the pain.

At last… overhauling the car…

At last, PaPa decided to send our old faithful Iswara to be overhauled this morning. It would take almost one week to get it done. For this whole week, PaPa would be sending and fetching Mummy to office since we would be down with one car. The mechanic asked PaPa to collect on Saturday but PaPa decided to give them extra two days so that the car would be properly overhauled. PaPa wanted him to do a proper job than rushing the mechanic. We hope after the change on the car seats plus with this overhaul process, the car would be in much better shape. PaPa was sure that the bill would not be too expensive since no Ferrari parts would be used.

First time in Bali…for work…

Yes, Mummy went to Bali for business trip. Mummy stayed in a nice hotel booked by our local colleague there at a corporate rate. The hotel room was simple with mixture of contemporary furniture with some Balinese touch. Some people asked why PaPa and the kids did not follow. However, it was a good thing that they didn’t follow because Mummy didn’t even have the chance to view the beautiful sunset there. This would explain how tight our time. Some even asked, why didn’t extend the stay. Mummy would love to but then how to extend when we got to meet the Area Manager who would be in Malaysia for a Regional Meeting to report to him the finding from Bali branch the following day.

People in Bali was shocked to find out that Mummy’s team lead and Mummy were on business trip and not holiday to Bali. Come on…Bali was well known to be tourist spot and we were there to work? Sounded funny right?

Local Indonesia Batik for PaPa and Kids

Mummy managed to squeeze some time during the trip at night to grab some local batik for PaPa and the kids. Mummy got Batik shirts one for PaPa and one for JL. Simple Batik dresses for AL, which of course not suitable for prom because it was not a prom dress.. Mummy did not manage to get anything for own self. Thanks to our local colleagues who took Mummy and team lead to a nearby shop selling reasonable goodies and souvenirs. Mummy did not manage to get the pretty sandals for PohPoh which would be about RM5 or less each pair. However, Mummy’s colleague promised to get for PohPoh when she travelled to Malaysia for meeting or training in head office.

If only Mummy could Skype with them….

During Mummy last trip, Mummy’s company notebook did not have a built-in camera. Mummy missed PaPa and the kids a lot. We already had a desktop which we used for many years, also a great color laser printer which we got at a bargain, plus a laptop with built-in camera which also we got at a discounted price. Mummy couldn’t carry two laptops for this business trip. Having a netbook would be great but then no point having one since we had a laptop. Maybe Mummy should get a small portable camera to use with the company notebook for any future business trip…

Mummy away to validate Control Self- Assessment (CSA)

What is Control Self-Assessment or CSA in short? Control Self-Assessment is an approach whereby individuals self review the controls for which they are responsible and communicate the results to appropriate management. It was the company initiative to instill accountability and also ownership on what they have self- assessed. It was not only cost effective but also the respective staffs would be more aware in controls thus would further improve for both individual and company.

It was not a full audit but just a validation audit; it was a good experience for Mummy for a start. This would be the last group of auditors being sent out just solely doing validation because as for next this, it would be done together with Full Audit. The new approach would be more effective in term of time and cost.

This audit had already created wrinkle, thus Mummy hoped Mummy would be able to manage to full 2-week Audit if being given the opportunity next year without having to hunt for best home remedy for acne and wrinkles.

Mummy away for work…

After almost 3 days away from home for work, it was nice to be home. Mummy missed PaPa and the kids a lot.  Yes, it was Mummy first overseas assignment in this new department which Mummy joined early of this year. It was hectic days with hardly have time to leisure. It was so stress up especially for Mummy being first time that Mummy might need to get anti wrinkle creams that work.  Mummy was so glad to be home.

PaPa’s small business…

PaPa was having a small company with some small business opportunity which was slowly growing. Mummy prayed that it would increase more to sustain our family. We never dream of having a big company because bigger company meant bigger headache and more time spent on the company which would totally against PaPa’s objective. PaPa’s aim on this small business was to be able to sustain the family plus having more flexible time with the family.

Boots

Mummy loved to wear boots and used to wear during student time. The boots was presented by KongKong and Mummy loved it a lot. It did last with Mummy for many years until it worn off. From that time onward, Mummy did not manage to get a replacement boots. PaPa knew Mummy loved to wear boots with jeans and pants. How nice if Mummy could get ugg boots as replacement.

Holiday in motorhome

Mummy’s friend used a motorhome to travel round the south island of New Zealand. It was awesome, enjoying the breathtaking of the natural and spectacular scenery. There were a lot of parking places for the motorhomes to park thus spending a night before continuing the trip. It was an experience Mummy would love to do with the kids in future. Mummy’s friend said we just need to pay for the motorhome rental, petrol and parking fees. How about the motorhome repairs? Mummy got to check all the details when the times come...one day….

Dream kitchen

Mummy always liked to dream with a lot of things. One of Mummy’s dreams was a nice kitchen with a nice island top consisted of Kohler kitchen sinks in the middle of the kitchen. In order to have the island, the kitchen had to be wide enough to accommodate it. When Mummy shared with PaPa, he too liked the idea. Sometimes, PaPa and Mummy would discuss and plan about our dream home. Yes, it our dream.

Personal accessories

Most women had a lot of personal accessories such as hair, jewelry and many others. Some also would have collection of watches, bags and also shoes. Mummy always heard about the brand names and never own one accept a great friend who presented to Mummy a Coach wristlet which Mummy carried almost everywhere.  When women started discussing about this topic, Mummy would have nothing to share as Mummy didn’t even know how to appreciate all there including Swarovski Crystal beads. Maybe Mummy had made the choice to be ignorant because Mummy knew in reality Mummy could not afford all this items, or Mummy was being not a normal woman?

Eye sight…

Nowadays our eyes’ visions are getting weaker with more kids wearing spectacles at young age. Everyone watch television and computer which is common. It would be awkward if a family do not even own a television. Anyone know what a vision screener for? Would it help to check a person's vision accurately? Maybe we should encourage the whole family to have outdoor activities rather than staying indoor watching television or playing computer games.

Work, Meeting, Deadline, Study – Stress

For the past few weeks or maybe almost one month plus, Mummy’s time was full and had been working late. PaPa had been fetching the kids home daily. Mummy arrived home after 7.30pm almost every day. With minimum two meetings per day for the last 1 ½ weeks, it really took a toll of Mummy’s energy because after meeting there were follow-up to do. No matter after taking the best vitamins for women, it would not take away all the accumulated fatigue faced by Mummy.

Let’s see how Mummy going to survive another one more week because by end of next week, one assignment would be completed with another two on hand.

At certain point, Mummy was blank and couldn’t think anymore managing multi tasking for multiple assignment. At times, Mummy got mental and emotional breakdown feeling so down that Mummy wanted to just give up. However, deep in the heart, Mummy picked up the small courage and than slowly climbed up because Mummy must finish up the race. Mummy had been praying to God to give Mummy the strength, wisdom and grace to complete the race successfully.

With an exam coming in December, the stress would be continuous trying to find time to study after so long didn’t attend any formal exam since uni time. What exam? Mummy would share if Mummy passed the exam, if not shy only to tell now.

Just hope everyone would have a good weekend ….and take care…

PaPa’s Travelling Month…

Last month PaPa was in outstation for most of the time. The longest was in Langkawi and Penang. Just few months back, we managed to get a good deal Lenovo notebook at about 50-60%. This notebook came with built-in camera. Since PaPa’s working notebook had built-in camera too, he decided to Skype with the kids every night instead of calling via the phone.

The kids were excited and fascinated when they could talk and see PaPa via notebook. AL was even dancing around to show to PaPa.

From Langkawi, PaPa got us come chocolates especially dark chocolate which was Mummy favorite. There was nothing much to get from Langkawi even though the prices of cigars were cheap but none of us smoke. Besides that, we were tempted with Corningware, Correlle and Pyrex but he had enough of Corningware and Pyrex to use. However, we planned to get Correlle once all our plates and bowls gave way which we were not sure when because our kids had not broke any, so it would take ages before we could get Correlle.

From Penang, PaPa didn’t get anything because the hotel located further than his work place as compared to Langkawi where the hotel was just next to the work place. However, everyone was happy that he came back safely because it was a whole month of travelling around Peninsular Malaysia for PaPa. Within a month, PaPa went to Penang, Alor Setar, Langkawi, Ipoh, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Melaka.

Old car but new seat covers

The old Iswara seats were giving way especially the driver seat which was torn. PaPa and Mummy went to check out how much it would be to customize and change the cover. We found that was about RM 1k plus for fabric or PVC. We did not ask further about leather. It was a big sum of money that we hold on and considering looking for alternatives. PaPa decided maybe just get a top cover to cover the driver seats to avoid the hole becoming bigger and bigger.

PaPa also could not find anything which was suitable until … one day, he happened to go to an accessories shop which sold standard seats covers for Iswara. It was RM230 for all the seats in the car. It was half leather where the sitting area was leather and other part was PVC. PaPa bought and wrapped by himself. Now the interior of the car looked new.

Even though, it was an old car but the car did not give us any major problem that we decided to use it because it was not worth to sell. Besides that, we could also save money from bank installment and also without forgetting that we only need to pay for cheap car insurance since it was an old car.

JL first toothache

Another outdated post, JL was complaining about pain in his mouth. We thought maybe it was just ulcer.

Then he started to reject food and having a hard time to chew his food. PaPa did a thorough check on his teeth and found a big hole on 21th September 2010. On Thursday 23September2010, PaPa fetch JL 1 hour earlier from his kindy to see the dentist who happened to be JL’s Ku Poh.

He didn’t make any fuss because it was the only way to get rid of his pain. Ku Poh managed to patch not one but two holes. This experience gave JL a lesson to make sure he must brush his teeth properly. JL brushed his teeth 2x but in his express way just for the sake of brushing even though we have been nagging to him the importance of brushing his teeth properly.

JL in choir…Mission Week

One day when PaPa went to fetch JL from his children church service, he asked PaPa’s permission whether he could join the choir singing on Mission Week. We, as parents needed to commit to send him for 4 Thursday nights practices and also to all the 3 services during the Mission Week.

Since he was eager to participate and it was his request, PaPa agreed. For the whole month of September, every Thursday including Hari Malaysia we would send him to church for his practices while we would find place to sit around the church until it ended.

The day came that he would need to be in church 45 minutes before the service started. The 3 services were on Saturday 25th September 2010 for 5pm service and Sunday 26th September 2010 for 8:30am and 11am services.

It was tiring weekend but we were glad that JL enjoyed himself. It was his first time to stand and sing on the main stage.

Overall, all the kids did well and it really touched everyone hearts with the song till the pastor said he didn’t need to preach his sermon anymore because the kids already did the job so well in delivering the message via the song.

Happy Birthday to Mummy

Mummy is one year older now since 2nd October 2010. On 1st October 2010, we had dinner with KongKong, PohPoh, Yi Yee, Sam Yee and Sam Yee Cheong at

Mei Chi Xuan 美食轩海鲜饭店
No. 32A1, Jalan 5/10,
PJU 5 Dataran Sunway,
Kota Damansara,
47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

After a heavy dinner we went to Sam Yee’s apartment to have cake. Sam Yee ordered a special cake with combinations of Mummy’s two favorites flavour which were cream cheese and mango. The cream cheese was specially requested for light cream cheese.

KongKong and PohPoh gave Mummy a beautiful card, angpau and a book. Yi Yee, Sam Yee and Sam Yee Cheong gave Mummy a pair of white shoes and a matching clutch bag.

On the actual birthday, after many years, Mummy decided to go for a facial at 8am. Yes, 8am. Mummy went to this facial place where Yi Yee and Sam Yee had been going for many years. The price was really reasonable. A basic facial was only RM35. According to Yi Yee and Sam Yee, even with treatment, it would not cost more than RM100. Where to get this price? What Mummy like was this facial was only done by the same person unlike in centre which was not only more expensive but also different person would do the facial every different time. She would only take one customers at each hour slot. The facial was about 1 hour 30 minutes.

After the early morning facial, back to home. JL had his music lesson after lunch while Mummy attended a course sent by company. The course ended at 5pm and Mummy’s colleague was nice to drive Mummy to church where Mummy would meet up with PaPa, JL and AL for our regular Saturday evening service.

That night for dinner, we decided to have our own family dinner. Initially we wanted to go to Friday’s but unfortunately it was full and we had to wait for 30 minutes. Then we walked to Italiannies because we didn’t go there for many years. However, we were regret because the service and food were lousy. The only food which Mummy enjoyed was the Masala Mushroom Soup. Mummy told PaPa that going to Sakae Sushi would be much better than this place. The kids only enjoyed the birthday cake which was a complimentary by the restaurant.

While PaPa brought the kids to Toys R Us, Mummy happened to meet an ex-colleague whom happened to be in the shopping mall too. We took some time catching up with each other and found out that he had set-up his own business which was doing well.

While walking to Italiannies, we met with Aunty Ruth in Baskin Robbins with Cheryl and Ryan. They were having a whole day feast of eating because it was Uncle Yong Hui’s birthday. Yes, we both shared the same birth date but different year… 02 Oct. Mummy had another friend in Penang (he was working in BHL Bank with Mummy when Mummy was there during Practical Training) who also shared the same birth date.

That was how Mummy spent Mummy’s birthday day…

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes Mummy received via sms and also FB....Thanks for remembering Mummy's Birthday....
